“Defying Gravity Takes More Than A Little Wand Wave”
How to Build the Most Sought-After Seniors Troupe in the Area
By Liz and Frank Ossmann, The Silver Foxes’ Life Upon the Wicked Stage Sponsors
We moved with our three young sons to Port Charlotte in 1984 to start a company and raise our family in a safe, healthy environment. Having moved to south Florida from New York, we brought a love of the theatre with us and attended local theatre as often as possible.
When attending a show at Venice Little Theatre—as it was called back then—we noticed an advertisement for The Silver Foxes. We were in the process of putting together a company party and thought the Foxes would be great entertainment for our co-workers and their families. That was a huge hit! We met Brad Wages, Maria Goodwin, and the whole Foxes company, and have enjoyed these friendships ever since.
We have been sponsoring this wonderful group of performers since that time and are very proud of the collaboration and the performances we support. We feel too many people in we community lack the ability to attend live performances. What better way than to have the show come to you?

We would love to see the Foxes continue their road shows and expand their reach to include other venues, such as elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, both public and private. We believe that the youth in Florida could benefit from greater exposure to the arts. And we look forward to the day when our Foxes are back on the Jervey Theatre stage…when they are not on the road giving so many people joy around the area.
